Halloween 2008 - TOTAL BUST!

Since we were both exhausted from work this week and are old fuddie duddies, my fiance and I didn't do jack shit for Halloween this year. In honor of us being lazy party poopers, I decided to post pictures of our costumes from the last several years. Yes, it's quite true, I am a master of disguises...

Looking Great

I know its only 2 games into the season so far, but the feeling that something big is going to happen this year is already creeping up on me. 2 games played and 96 minutes of total domination so far. The Lakers are crushing their opponents on offense and smothering them with impenetrable defense. If this keeps up watch out '96 Bulls, there might be a new record holder in the books come 2009.

A Whole Lot Can Change In A Week

In 7 days I will either be rejoicing or super pissed off to the point that I may have to leave the country. You know why??? The Presidential Election 2008!!! A whole lot is riding on this one my friends... Will the US be stuck with 4 more years of Republican BS all while making the world hate us even more? Will the outcome of the election be rigged like it was in 2000? Will world War 3 begin shortly after McCain wins, then dies after a month in office making Sara Palin the President? Who knows, but I sure hope not. Therefore I am making my plea to all of you loyal Crumdirt fans out there (yes all 5 of you, but no not the guy who sent me that comment that I am going to Hell because I went to a heavy metal show) to vote for OBAMA!!! The US could really use a boost right now, and he is definitely the one to do it. So don't be an idiot and not vote, and don't be an idiot who still thinks that Irag was responsible for 9-11... Put all of your stupidity behind you and make the right choice come election day. Vote Obama for President in 2008.
I Knew It!!!

Lakers Championship Run Starts Today

Thank God the NBA season is back. I never watch Baseball until the playoffs, my two favorite Football teams, The Raiders and WVU Mountaineers are both having crap seasons, and Hockey just plain sucks. Tonight I can forget about all that and look forward to redemption. The Lakers know they should have won the championship last year. Boston got lucky with the worst officiating in league finals history (Game 2), and the worst collapse in finals history compliments of the Lakers (Game 4). So now its time to forget about all that and look ahead. Everyone has worked hard in the off season and gotten better, we have Bynum back to form the "Twin Towers" with Pau, and most importantly we have Kobe Bryant, NBA MVP and Olympic Gold Medal Winner. So I say BRING IT ON!!! My prediction for this season is nothing less than the best. Lakers will have at least 60 or more wins, they will win the Pacific Division, win the Western Conference Title, and Finish it off with the NBA Championship. Kobe Bryant will win another MVP, Lamar Odom will win 6th Man Of The Year, Andrew Bynum will win most improved aka Comeback Player of The Year and get named to his first All Star Game... unless this is a season filled with numerous freak injuries. So remember, you heard it here first. GO LAKERS!!! Kick some Portland Ass Tonight!

Goodbye Enos Munson

A good friend of mine who goes by the alias Enos Munson is moving back to the NY/DC area after this week. He got a film green-lit based on a script he wrote so it was an obvious choice for him to quit his job out here and move back East to work on that. So we met up with him at his going away party tonight at the Foundry. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera and forgot to take any cell phone pics, so until I get some pics from someone else who was there, you will just have to imagine what a great time we all had.
PICS OR VIDEO COMING SOON (I HOPE...)

Bathroom Remodel Update - New Wall & Tub

So here is the latest on the bathroom. The old tub has been ripped out, a new wall between the toilet and tub/ shower is being built, a hole is being made for our new medicine cabinet, and new recessed lights are being put in the ceiling in various strategic places. Also the project has been delayed a little, due to our tub being lost in transit. However, since the company we ordered it from F'd up, they upgraded our tub to a whirlpool tub that was about $500 to $1000 more and had it express shipped to us! SWEET!!! Here are some more pics of the work in progress...

Wanderlust

Odds are, you've never seen or heard of this show. In fact, I only found out about it randomly one late night while flipping through the channels and stopping for a quick second on Comedy Central. Anyways, in my opinion this is one of the funniest shows ever created (even though it lasted a mere 6 episodes), and packs the most laughs per 30 minutes of television that you will ever have. Behold... Gerhard Reinke's Wanderlust! Each episode is about Gerhard, a German FOB who has a travel show that always winds up getting him into outrageous predicaments that are too ridiculous and numerous to even go into right now. Do yourself a favor and watch the episodes if you can. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

Rudy Ray Moore the raunchy comedian and star of numerous blaxploitation films including Dolomite died this week at the age of 81. Thanks for all of the great films Rudy... especially Petey Wheatstraw The Devil's Son In Law, one of my personal favorites.

Chinese Democracy Release Date!?!?!

Well after 17 years Axl has supposedly set a final release date for the new G'N'R' album, Chinese Democracy. It is supposed to come out exclusively at Best Buy on November 23rd. Until the album is in my hands though, I'm not gonna get too hyped up. After all, this is probably the 20th announcement of this kind over the past 2 decades so he's kind of like the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" at this point. You can listen to the lead single Chinese Democracy here.

Bathroom Update - Demolition Accomplished!

Phase One of the bathroom remodel is almost complete. Everything except the toilet, bathtub and linoleum floor has been torn out. Unfortunately my fiance and I are living like homeless people right now, having to travel to my parents house to shower and use the bathroom. Two weeks of this lifestyle is really going to be a chore since we are only 2 days into this, and are already sick of it BIGTIME!

"SANDY's" WEDDING

Yesterday one of my best friends got married to his girlfriend of 5 years. Although I usually hate weddings, this one actually wound up being really cool. Their ceremony was held at a Catholic Church so that was kind of weird for me since I hadn't been to a church in at least 4 years or longer, and the ceremony was also a super religious one, which kind of creeped me out. Whatever though, to each his own, and if thats what makes my friends happy than so be it... it's just that the actual wedding process was way different than I want my own to be, so I'm glad I got in at least one wedding before I tie the knot, so I can see what I do and don't like in terms of ceremonies and all that. So anyways, after they were officially hitched and had Jesus' blessings and all that good stuff, they got into a '61 Bentley Limo and rode off into the sunset... Until 6pm that is, when they showed up at the wedding reception party. All I have to say is that they went all out on this one, and I have to give them major major props for having such a cool party. Basically they rented out the historic El Rey Theater on Wilshire Blvd. and held the party there....
