Ride 017: La Tuna Canyon (6)

Rode La Tuna today with Blowtar on his new Nomad, and wound up messing up my toe and ankle pretty good. Bummer.

Ride 016: Mt. Wilson Foot Trail (1)

Got to the top of Mt. Wilson at around 6:30 PM and bombed the mountain in about an hour before nightfall hit. This trail is super technical, has lots of exposure, and as always, is a total blast. No riding photos were taken, but I did get a gnarly rotor burn on my calf!

La Canada Fire

There is a fire burning super close to my place (well about 5 miles away) that is making the air quality absolutely horrid. Doing anything physical makes me cough uncontrollably and i feel like I should be wearing a gas mask right now. Hopefully the fire wont take out any homes in the La Canada/ La Crescenta area, but as of now its completely uncontained. I took these pictures from flickr to show you what I'm talking about...

Injured While Searching My Fridge For Food!

Tonight I got clocked in the face by the refrigerator door while looking for something to eat. I had just found a box of cherry tomatoes, when the door closed a bit and the corner of it hit me just below my right eye. It even drew blood! This is probably the lamest injury of all time so I had to write about it.

Swine Flu Outbreak!

Is this the beginning of a global Pandemic that will wipe out the human race? We shall see... but I doubt it. Seems to me like the media is blowing things out of proportion as usual, but who knows. Maybe it really is serious.

Our beloved dog Wembley got in a horrible accident today. So far he has been diagnosed with a fractured pelvis, hip, and possibly a broken leg... We are hoping for the best.

Breakin' Ankles

This royally sucks, I landed on someone's ankle and rolled it big time playing in my weekly hoops game today! Although I haven't done that in while, this one came at a really crappy time since I am supposed to run the Santa Monica 10k in 6 days. I guess if I'm better by then I can do a day of registration but that's alway a hassle! Oh well, better luck next time I guess!
