I was leaving Macy's this afternoon when I heard a really high pitched squeaking noise. To my surprise I had just made a new friend without even knowing it... a baby squirrel. My little friend was following me around for a good 15 minutes and even jumped on my leg and tried to climb up my pants! It was crazy! Anyways I guess it had been orphaned and was in need of help (hence all the squeaking and following) so my Fiancee came over and met the squirrel and I. She called the local Animal Hospital who linked her up with a wild animal specialist in Burbank. He told her to bring the squirrel over to his sanctuary and he would take care of the rest. The squirrel is now in good hands and will eventually be released back into the wild once its old enough, and our good deed for the day is officially taken care of.

Joshua Tree Test Run

We were out by Palm Springs this weekend and decided to go out to Joshua Tree to do a quicky camping trip. This trip's purpose was to test out our new tent, see what camping supplies we still need to get, and also scout the campsites so we can plan a nice group trip there in the next few weeks/ months. Oh yeah we also wanted to relax out in some beautiful nature. Anyways, we had a blast and it was perfect weather. The Pea came with us too, but I don't think he likes camping too much, based on all of the whining he did...
