Ride 004 - La Tuna Canyon (Firebreaks) (1)

I rode my home court ride today with a new twist that I've only recently started doing... riding down the super steep, super sketchy, super rutted out fire break portion of La Tuna. It definitely beats the monotony of riding that fire road back down (which I've done a zillion times), and gives you more of a heart pounding thrill ride. Anyway, here are some pics and a mini vid from my helmet cam.

Another Ride... Another Camera F Up!

Now I am really beginning to think that I should have bought the Go Pro Hero HD Helmet camera a few years ago rather than this one. I just can't seem to get the placing right! Anyway, here is probably the best clip from my ride at the San Juan Trail this past weekend. It's from the final portion of the ride, from the switchback mania to the parking lot. I hope you enjoy watching the trail whiz by!

Mel's Noble View

So I tried to use the Contour HD on yesterday's Noble Canyon ride, but since I hadn't used in a while, I set it up slightly too low. Unfortunately since there is no way to monitor what you're shooting with this camera, if you mess up the initial set up angle, the day's footage can be totally screwed. This is the best clip of footage we got, as seen from Mel's Helmet POV.

So here is the first video ever shot on my new helmet cam. This version is only in standard def however, since i was too lazy to export and upload the full HD version (it takes FOREVER!). Anyways, peep it, and there will more to follow each week.
