Words can't describe how thrilled I was to discover that one of my all time favorite computer games, the Lucas Arts classic The Secret of Monkey Island has officially been released for the iPhone and the iPod Touch! I knew that there was a SCUMMvm emulator hack for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, but in doing so you basically voided your warranty. Also you needed to have the original game discs or else download the files somewhere to be able to run the programs and play them. That being said, the instant I saw the app online i made the purchase and consider it probably the best $7.99 I've ever spent. Also one of the coolest features, in addition to the great game play, is the hidden addition of the games original graphics. Basically when you swipe two fingers across the screen, the new graphics and audio work fades away, revealing game's original graphics! AWESOME!

Today I went on a very memorable bike ride... one that was supposed to take 4 hours... and wound up taking almost 8. The ride included blazing heat, 2 flat tires, getting momentarily lost and surrounded by waist high plants swarming with bees, some brutal hike a bike, lurking rattlesnakes, the shuttle car being locked in the parking lot, a parking ticket, and most importantly some INSANE RIDING! Despite all the craziness, I cannot wait to ride Winter Creek Trail again really really soon! Who's with me?
