First Ride Of 2010

For my first ride of 2010 I hit Upper Winter Creek today with 4 other mountain biking friends. As usual it was a great ride (especially since I didn't get any flats!!!). It was also the first time I had gone up the Crest since the Station Fire. Even though I have seen many pictures of the devastation, to see the aftermath firsthand was still pretty shocking... I also tested out Google Tracks (A GPS Tracking/ Mapping App) on my Droid Phone and it worked great! Anyway, here are the results of the ride, and some photos I snapped. Expect to see more ride routes posted in the near future.

I've been wanting to read this book for a while, and the Library finally got it in. I think the title pretty much sums up what its about... Oh yeah... its all true, and has some gruesome stories in it about tweakers melting their flesh off in meth lab accidents, going on 20 day sleepless benders, and other crazy stuff like that. NICE!

Well if you like a book, and it happens to be a sequel, you just can't go through life without reading the original that started it all. Lucky for me my Fiancee still had her copy from a few years back... Oh yeah, I was stoked to find out that I made it to the Top 20 list of names that were commonly associated with having a poor upbringing in life and uneducated parents... HAHAHA! I guess I'm an exception to the rule since that's certainly not the case.
