CVHS... You've Finally Made It!

So to my knowledge, my high school alma mater CVHS, hasn't been in too many skate videos if any at all. I was waiting for people to start killing it there, since there are definitely some gnarly sets of stairs and some other stuff that is very skateable. Anyways, these are frame grabs from Nike SB's new film that you can download for free at Nikeskateboarding.com called Debacle, where some fools totally rip it up. By the way, all of this stuff they skate is right by the basketball courts, in case you are thinking of one upping them.

HD Helmet Cam

I finally ordered a helmet camera to film my weekly mountain biking adventures. It's called the Contour HD and is the latest and greatest the market has to offer. Oh yeah, the cam shoots in crystal clear HD at 30 FPS, and in SD at 60 FPS, and also comes equipped with a 135 degree wide angle lens. SICK! Be on the lookout for some HD biking vids and some other footage in the near future...

Against The Day

I've had this book on my shelf since it came out in 2006, and finally got the nerve up to give it a read. Clocking in at a whopping 1000+ pages and some microscopic print I present to you Pynchon's latest novel, Against The Day...

Trailer Trash Thursday 8: ROAM

In the spirit of going Mountain Biking this weekend, I'm posting a trailer for a DVD that has been out for a few years now, but never the less is still one of the best... ROAM. I only wish I was this gnarly on a bike!

Lakers Victory Parade 2009

Since we weren't able to make any of the 3 Victory Parades when the Lakers "3-Peated" earlier this decade, there was no way in Hell we were going to miss this one! After the Lakers won the title in 5 games on the road, it still hadn't rally sunk in that they won it all... well that is... until this morning. Eventually after fighting traffic we got to Figueroa and Chick Hearn Ct. which is basically the corner the Staples Center sits on. We found a spot with "unobstructed views" and waited for the Parade to begin. Let me just say it was madness once it did! One by one the players came out of Staples and boarded the trolleys with the cheers getting louder and louder... when Kobe finally came out the place just went bananas! Around 11:15 the trolleys rolled out and it was a good 30 minutes of celebrating and partying in the streets until they had passed us by. What a great way to spend the morning!
